African Sunrise

Here are some of my photo's that I've taken in the South African bushveld in September 2012 - better late than never.

These are of the African White Rhino one of my favourite animals because of its sheer strength, wild beauty and ancient aura as if from times long gone. They are fighting a daily battle against poachers who will do anything to come by their most precious horns. The street value of rhinoceros horns have soared and is now more expensive than gold...

Today there are organisations in place to combat this poaching, but considering the fact that there are more rhino poachers active today in South Africa alone than actual rhino's, they will need all the help they can get.
