new jewels...

...in my shop

I cast this elongated pendant in sterling silver, using cuttlefish bone in which the shed antler of a red deer was used to create the unique texture, as a mold... and what I would like to think is the faint visage of a spirit in the woods forever captured in a fleeting moment

Ever had that dream where you spread your long, sleek, powerful wings and glided through the trees?

shadows floating through the woods

We went for a walk through the woods before the great snows came. I love the mystery held in nature, in the trees and the stillness. There are ancient memories encrypted in here and the only way to ever unlock the secrets of nature is to listen to the silence.

The Seeker

The Seeker thumb ring
This ring took me many days to complete. Forged in sterling silver, it has highly polished filigree spirals  & curls, on a lightly brushed & oxidised surface. The stone set in the middle is a light blue-lilac chalcedony.
I designed it to comfortably fit the thumb of the right hand.
This is one of a kind and available here in my jewel shop.

African Sunrise

Here are some of my photo's that I've taken in the South African bushveld in September 2012 - better late than never.
These are of the African White Rhino one of my favourite animals because of its sheer strength, wild beauty and ancient aura as if from times long gone. They are fighting a daily battle against poachers who will do anything to come by their most precious horns. The street value of rhinoceros horns have soared and is now more expensive than gold...
Today there are organisations in place to combat this poaching, but considering the fact that there are more rhino poachers active today in South Africa alone than actual rhino's, they will need all the help they can get.
